The past few days have beem a whirlwind of teaching and playing with kids. Yesterday (June 26) we woke up early and headed to a local Kindergarten to spend time with the kids. We sang songs, danced, played games and taught them a few emotions (happy, sad, hungry, hot, excited and sleepy.) Overall it went really well and we had tons of fun. After we took a nap, we ate lunch at our favorite pho place and then took a taxi to a market. The sun was blazing down and we decided to head back early to prepare for our two classes that night and get out of the heat. For both of the classes, we taught the kids (ages 4 -7) greetings and emotions. The last class of the night went especially well since the kids were so excited to learn.

This morning (June 27) we woke up early and tired, and headed over to the Kindergarten to play with more kids. After that we headed over to a huge mall/Costco-esque store called Big C where we bought water and stationary (for writing encouragement notes). Before we left we grabbed some lunch and headed back for a nap – we all feeling grumpy, tired and hot. This afternoon we met with Hai to talk about the day camp we are putting on tomorrow and then he lets us go back to our hotel again to take a nap/rest before our class tonight. Teaching went well tonight and we had a lot of fun with the kids! Right now we are preparing for tomorrow and then we will grab some dinner.

We are having so much fun and feel so blessed to be here. Everyone has been so welcoming and gracious. We figured out that so far we have spent time with around 247 children and we still have more to meet!

P.S. Here is a photo that I took on Monday when we were at the orphanage.
